Like every Sunday, Melanie Taravant returned to the air this November 17 on France 5. The journalist presented a new issue of C Media live and, everything did not go as planned from the launch. For good reason, a guest crashed the program at the very last moment!
The one who is in a relationship with Karim Rissouli announced it herself at the start of the show: Guillaume Durand would not join the set. “To tell you the truth, we were to receive Guillaume Durand as a great witness this afternoon. It was at the last minute that he had to cancel his participation in the show: small, minor health concerns. So we wish him a good recovery, but that’s also what’s live!“, she declared. Mélanie Taravant nevertheless very quickly bounced back to compensate for this absence and received instead Maryse Gildasex-radio host and widow of Philippe Gildas. It was already planned that the latter would intervene in C Media, but only in the second part. “The hazards of live“, therefore brought forward his arrival as Mélanie Taravant pointed out.
Guillaume Durand went from 90 to 75 kilos because of his cancer
It is difficult to know, however, what illness Guillaume Durand is suffering from, but the famous 72-year-old journalist has been experiencing health problems for a while now. In 2021, he confided that he had jaw cancer and revealed that he had undergone a major operation to save his life. The illness unfortunately had time to cause physical consequences, including a very significant weight loss because Guillaume Durand went from 90 to 75 kilos. “It's horribly distressing to see that we are losing weight inexorably.due to illness. You arrive on Tuesday, you weigh yourself, you see 85, you weigh yourself on Friday and you see 82. You say to yourself 'But where will it stop?'”, he reported on the set of the Jordan de Luxe show in January 2023.
The previous month of November, Guillaume Durand clarified in an interview on France Inter that he was not completely out of the woods: “I'm not curedwe don't know anything about it at all, it's very random but I'm fine. I learned to live with that. You have to take the fear of death by the hand, conquer it and continue to move forward.“
