The boss of Free mentioned Elon Musk, whom he describes as an “entrepreneurial genius”, despite a dark side.
Could Xavier Niel consider himself the “French Elon Musk”? Faced with the question asked to the founder of Free, during the Artificial Intelligence Marseille (AIM) event, organized by La Tribune and La Provence (belonging, like BFMTV, to the CMA CGM group), the latter wished to remain humble, faced with the strong man of Donald Trump's campaign.
“I am a dwarf compared to this incredible entrepreneur that is Elon. Frankly, the guy is an entrepreneurial genius,” explained Xavier Niel.
The businessman nevertheless returned to what is often described as the dark side of the Tesla boss, regularly singled out for the disinformation that he relays on human resources.
Elon Musk, “a salt with”
“I think we are neither black nor white, we are all gray, we are a mixture of shiny things and not shiny things,” analyzed Xavier Niel.
“It is so white about entrepreneurship that to make it gray in the middle, there must be very, very black sides,” he concluded, not without a touch of irony.
This is not the first time that Xavier Niel has referred to Elon Musk. The latter is notably mentioned in his book A real desire to make a messpublished last September.
“Elon Musk only represents himself, and that's already a full-time job. He's trapped himself in a transgressive extremist persona and I don't know how he's going to get out of it. Because… If you say stupid things, the moment comes when you pay for it. The moral is that you can be both a brilliant entrepreneur and a dirty idiot”, judged Xavier Niel.
