Laura Smet sends a tender message to her brother David Hallyday after their surprise duet on stage

This Tuesday, November 12, Laura Smet and David Hallyday met on stage at the Dôme de for the tour Requiem for a Madman. The opportunity for the actress to send a tender message to her brother.

A meeting awaited by fans. It had been four years since David Hallyday had released an album after Imagine a world. For his big return to the stage, the singer decided to hit it hard, by doing covers of the famous songs of his father Johnny Hallyday. If Requiem for a Madman was the first title to be revealed to his fans, he also reinterprets the hits Blood for blood, Laura, Envy or even Diego, free in his head. David Hallyday began his tour at the Dôme de Paris on November 12 and 13 and on stage, he gave his fans some surprises. In the middle of a concert, Sylvie Vartan, who was bidding farewell to her audience a few days before on the same stage, performed Something from Tennessee with his son. A few minutes later, it was the turn of her sister, Laura Smet to sing the title We scare ourselves.

“I'm so proud of you”, confides Laura Smet to David Hallyday

“Thank you David Hallyday, my dear brother for inviting me to your amazing show. I am so proud of you. Dad must be so happy up there. Crazy anxiety, but even greater joy. Thank you to this magnificent audience”, writes Laura Smet in a tender message on Instagram, sharing at the same time a photo of the famous concert. However, this is not the first time that Laura Smet sang on stage and 10 years earlier, she already performed the title We scare each other on stage. In 2013, she added her voice to the album We Love Disney, singing with Thomas Dutronc on the track. Everyone wants to be a cat. Four years ago, it was Grand Corps Malay who offered him a duet with A drink in hand.

An accomplice brotherhood

“It was just magical with you …. To do again sister”David Hallyday then commented under this post. On social networks and in the press, the brother and sister have always shown their complicity, despite their age difference. The first is the son of Sylvie Vartan, while the last is the daughter of Nathalie Baye. Although they have always tried to stay close to their half-sisters Jade and Joy, their relationship has remained strained since the disappearance of their father in 2017. “I always told my sisters that I was there if they needed me“, insisted David Hallyday to our colleagues at Gala.
