A large part of Eventuallythe new film by Claude Lelouch which has just been released in theaters this Wednesday, November 13, was filmed in Burgundy, more precisely in Saône-et-Loire. A department that Kad Merad really appreciates, since he owns a house there, with Julia Vignali (that's where they got married). Namely a farm, which he completely renovated. This is what he recalled in As an aside this evening, in the presence of the famous director who trusted him to play the lead role in his feature film.
As a reminder, the National Federation of Farmers' Unions (FNSEA) revealed a few weeks ago on its Facebook page that Kad Merad would perhaps like to set up a flock of sheep not far from his second home. “It's a project for Kad Merad, who for the moment prefers to remain discreet”, had then confirmed his artistic agency. The main person concerned did not comment on the subject. Well it's done now: “I want to do breeding. I prepare, I take my time, I find out a lot from real operators, real breeders, before doing anything. Because I assure you: it's a beautiful world.“
Kad Merad and Julia Vignali well surrounded
“And then there are two dogs who changed his life“, then added Claude Lelouch, before Kad Merad confirmed this information: “I actually just had two dogs, and I can tell you that it’s quite life-changing!” Rare confidences therefore, from the star of Welcome to the Ch'tis with Dany Boon.
This choice of life, to come back to home, Julia Vignali also mentioned it, for Gala: “When I was coming up from the south on the highway, seeing the 'Côte-Rôtie' sign, I found the hilly landscape magnificent. Then, I saw that it was accessible from Paris, by TGV, in just an hour and twenty minutes. It’s ideal because I didn’t want the stress of long car journeys.”
Finally, she also spoke about the renovation of their building: “This is the first time that I have done such substantial work, but it's very interesting to bring this house back to life, to rediscover an old bread oven, to respect the stones, the framework…”
