Amélie Etasse evokes nudity in Household Scenes

Guest on the “Buzz ” set, the actress Domestic scenes adapts and directs the play, Formica. The opportunity to talk about his busy schedule, his passion for the absurd and the cult M6 series.

The guest on “Buzz TV” this Tuesday, November 12 is an actress that many spectators will recognize: Amélie Etasse. Indeed, since 2015, the 40-year-old actress has played Camille in the soap opera Household scenes on M6. At the same time, Amélie Etasse is currently playing in the play Formicawhich she directed and adapted from the comic strip of the same name by Fabcaro.

On the set of “Buzz TV”, the actress returned to what motivated her to adapt this particular work. “I've wanted to direct for a long time, (…) I bought this wonderful comic strip when it came out in September 2019, and I told Clément Séjourné – who is my co – director on the project – “Okay, that’s it,” she recalls. “We were looking for something accessible, mainstream, and at the same time extremely contemporary.”

Amélie Etasse then emphasizes that her choice to start directing is linked to her desire to “rejuvenate» the public present in Parisian theaters. “I love people with white hair, but there was a time when I wanted to see young people in theaters,” she assures with a laugh. “So I said to myself that this (Formica, Editor’s note.) could attract a new audience to the theater.”

During the “Buzz TV” interview, the actress spoke about the role of Camille that she plays in Household scenes facing Grégoire Bonnet, her fictional partner since 2015. Amélie Etasse returned to the only downside of the filming: the naked scenes. “We are quite cool with Grégoire on a lot of things, as soon as it makes us laugh we say yes», she begins. “But being naked on set with people we meet all the time made us really uncomfortable. We’ve been saying stop for some time.”

The actress then assures that the problem does not come from the soap opera teams. “Plus, they are very respectful,” declares Amélie Etasse. “With the Scènes de households team, there is no voyeurism, but I have the impression that it is not suited to this type of program.” To close her remarks, the forty-year-old mentions the fact that these scenes were relayed on social networks: “I saw some screenshots that remained on the internet, with comments that weren't very classy, ​​so that's good, it's over.”
