Laura Marque, 25, will represent Aquitaine during the Miss France 2025 election which will take place on December 14 at Futuroscope in Poitiers. Born in Talence and having grown up in the Arcachon basin, this young woman with an atypical background, including a stint in Morocco, gave an interview to Paris Match.
After obtaining her scientific baccalaureate in Morocco, Laura Marque continued her dental studies in Portugal, before returning to France last June. “I left France and my sisters to live in Senegal with my parents and follow my father, an expatriate for his work. It was then at 17 that I left for Morocco”, evoking the personal enrichment that these experiences abroad brought him.
It was after being contacted several times by the committee that Laura Marque decided to embark on the Miss France adventure. Elected Miss Biganos from her first participation, she admits to having had some doubts, particularly in the face of her parents' concerns. “They wanted me to finalize my studies before embarking on such a project,” she explains.

Faced with critics who consider the competition outdated, even misogynistic, Laura Marque believes that Miss France “has evolved a lot” and that it “allows us to highlight women with diverse backgrounds”. The opening of the competition to more varied profiles encouraged her to participate.
If she is elected Miss France, Laura Marque wishes to commit to equitable access to care and the promotion of public health. “It is essential that everyone can have quality care,” she says.
As for the sudden notoriety that could await her, the young woman says she is ready to manage it, thanks to her education and her determination. The online harassment suffered by Eve Gilles does not worry her, even if it saddens her. She admires Marine Ltemporel for her exemplary career, and cites her sisters as a source of inspiration for their success and determination.
