Pierre Arditi destroys wokism and inclusive writing

At the dawn of its 80 ansPierre Arditi does not intend to mince his words. In an interview on Saturday November 9 given to Figaro for the release of his biography Born to play chez Robert Laffontthe actor spoke about various subjects that are close to his heart.

He of course spoke of his beautiful and long career, but also of the evolution of society which visibly leaves him with a certain bitterness. Known for his honesty, Pierre Arditi did not hesitate to to throw out truthsparticularly on the wokism and writingwhich, for him, are in summary “bullshit”. The actor assumes his opinions and takes a stand.

Pierre Arditi annoyed by new trends

Pierre Arditi often defended left-wing causes. However, certain social trends are deviations for him that he hardly appreciates. The actor declared point blank to our colleagues: “wokism annoys me and inclusive writing is bullshit”. We couldn't be clearer. He thinks there is no need to change the language to show respect and inclusiveness.

The theater man also recalls the influence of women in his life : “My father made the actor, but my mother made the man.” For Pierre Arditi, women do not have no need for this kind of change to assert themselves and they know how to defend themselves very well when necessary. “Man is not a supreme being to whom everything is permitted”, he adds.

Pierre Arditi takes the opportunity to bring all his support for women : “They know very well how to stand up when men behave badly towards them and I fully support them.” A statement that proves its feminist commitmentbut also his strong character.

The actor defends his political values

In addition to his rant against inclusive writing, Pierre Arditi told journalists his regrets about the evolution of the left which he describes today as “silent”. Social democracy has become “the worst insult”. And regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, he qualifies his remarks and claims that the people on both sides do not deserve “this misfortune”.

“I condemn neither and I cry over both,” he adds. Pierre Arditi therefore dares to take a position in all sincerity. In any case, the actor remains as passionate as ever with his independence of mind and don't not conform to trends and fashions. No offense to others.
