Princess Charlene of Monaco talks about her twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who are preparing to celebrate their tenth birthday. As their children approach adolescence, the princely spouses do not hide their anxiety.

Princess Charlene of Monaco recently – on September 16 – inaugurated, with her husband Prince Albert II, a new SPA refuge in Peille. President of the SPA of Monaco since September 2022, the former South African swimmer met, on October 18, our colleagues from Gala which publish, in their edition of this Thursday, November 7, the interview with the princess. She talks about her passion for animals, her investment and her commitments as president of the SPA du Rocher, but also her children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who will celebrate their 10th birthday on December 10, a milestone that their parents are somewhat afraid.

We are a little anxious“: Princess Charlene of Monaco discusses the upcoming adolescence of her twins Jacques and Gabriella

Time passes so quickly… Like all other parents, we are a little anxious thinking about the next few years“, explains Princess Charlene of Monaco about her growing twins and the arrival of adolescence. “We can already imagine what they will be exposed to… Today's world is quite different from the one in which we grew up. Children are so much more in contact with the media and technology. What they see and how they process information is so different from what we have known. I have to admit it's a lot of pressure“, continues the one who, by her own admission, dedicated “his (my) days, his (my) weeks, his (my) year to be at the maximum of his (my) potential” when she was a teenager herself.

Gabriella is very curious”Jacques is very calm by nature“: Princess Charlene of Monaco describes the character of her twins

To our colleagues who asked her if, like mothers of twins, she deplored the fact of not having enough time to spend one-on-one time with each of her children, Princess Charlene of Monaco responded with the affirmative. “It is indeed difficult to find time to spend one-on-one time with them but it is essential when you are parents of twins. The conversations I can have Jacques and those with Gabriella are so different, as well as the time spent with them“, explained the one whose health has greatly concerned her family in recent years. And to describe the character of each of her children: “Gabriella is very curious. She is very intrigued by the world and life in general. She asks lots of questions and demands a lot of attention. As for Jacques, he is curious and observant. More reserved, he is very calm by nature“As for whether the princely twins share their parents' passion for animals, the princess was clear: “They love them! They take care of them and respect them. They can't stand being hurt“.
