Bambou talks about the loss of his first child

After meeting Serge Gainsbourg in 1980, he and Bambou decided to
start a family. Before Lulu's birth, however, the model lost a baby at six and a half months. A significant event for the couple and which she remembered in an interview given to Match before the publication of his autobiography.

In 1989, Serge Gainsbourg wanted to talk again about the loss of this baby. “One day, Serge said to me: 'Do you remember when we lost…', and he stopped suddenly, realizing that Lulu, 3 years old, was listening. Lulu gives up her game and replies: 'Yes, it was a boy, it was me and I came back'. Serge turned pale and turned towards me, frightened. Lulu knew nothing and what could he know, at his age, about reincarnation? It bordered on the paranormal” she said.

Serge Gainsbourg's son has always loved music

At the age of five, Lulu Gainsbourg began playing the piano. Three years later, the little boy joined the conservatory from Paris. A real source of pride for Bambou, who invested a lot in her education. “I made him practice his piano for years” she revealed to Parisian.

As an adult, Lucien Gainsbourg decided to follow in his famous father's footsteps and became musician and composer. “He went to study in Berkeley, United States. At school it was hell. He wanted to have fun there, not work. While music, beating time, music theory dictations, it was a game” recalled Bambou. Touching confidences.
