Rachida Brakni did not necessarily appreciate her filming in Morocco

Although the opportunity to work on an American production might seem enticing, the reality on the ground was somewhat different. “Too much hierarchy, too much process, not enough humanity…”, she confides to Télé Star, describing a rigid and impersonal working atmosphere. Added to this were logistical constraints which prevented her from returning home, even on her days off. “I was forbidden from returning home, even when I had five days off. I was stuck in Morocco for a month,” she explains.

Eric Cantona's wife took advantage of her forced vacation in Morocco to devote herself to writing her first book, “Kaddour” (ed. Stock), a touching tribute to her father.

Rachida Brakni also returned to the “BRI” series. She plays Malika, a character immersed in the world of the secret services. “What interested me was being at the heart of the reactor and seeing how the secret services work,” she explains. The actress claims to have been seduced by the complexity of this role and by the psychological dimension of her character. “And then I liked that Malika was not stuck in her role, that we also observed how all of this affects her intimately,” she adds.
