Funeral of Alain Delon: a star who was invited reveals what she had to do with her phone in front of the coffin

After a long fight against illness, Alain Delon died on August 18, at the age of 88. After a stroke in 2019, the actor retired to his large home in Douchy and it was within these walls that he took his last breath. The actor was surrounded by his three children, namely Anthony, Anouchka and Alain-Fabien Delon. Inconsolable since that date, they are fortunately supported by their family and their father's friends. This is for example the case of Véronique de Villèle who has just told what happened when she discovered the remains of Alain Delon.

Death of Alain Delon: his friend Véronique de Villèle devastated

For decades, Alain Delon and Véronique de Villèle were very close. Last September, the former host last spoke to discuss her death, during her appearance on the set of the show “Don’t touch my post”.

“I was devastated by the death of Alain Delon. He considered me his little sister and I was a member of my family” she said. And to add: “My worst memory? It's not really a worst memory because it was just sumptuously beautiful, maybe it's [quand il était] on his deathbed, in Douchy, a few days ago. It was totally overwhelming.”.

Din the columns of FigaroVéronique de Villèle recently mentioned the actor again. “I hear him, I see him, I have photos of him. And then if I want to hear him, I call him on my cell phone because he was the one who made my message on the phone and I I'm very happy about that. I protected him on all sides so I would never lose him.”

Shock at the remains of his great friend

Invited on the set of the show “Chez Jordan”, Véronique de Villèle once again delivered to Alain Delon. The opportunity for her to tell how it happened at the time of her death. “Anthony took my hand and said to me: 'Come on, let's go see dad'. We took our cell phones and put them in a basket. But it affected me to the point that I would think about it until the end of my life”. Jordan de Luxe then asked him: “Did it traumatize you?”

To which she replied: “It shocked me, not traumatized me. What was absolutely extraordinary was that even in death, he was handsome. He wasn't even prepared. He had his beard freshly trimmed, he was well-groomed”.

Friend for 55 years with Alain Delon, Véronique de Villèle then told an anecdote : “The anecdote that he told me personally, 20 times… He had a bed that he never left. A large brown leather bed. I saw this bed on avenue Messina with Romy Schneider, rue François 1ᵉʳ, quai Kennedy… and he kept saying that this bed would be his deathbed. Well, I saw him on his deathbed and it's that bed!
