Heidi Klum's breathtaking costume in ET, Steven Spielberg's iconic alien

She is nicknamed the “Queen of Halloween”. This October 31, during her legendary annual Halloween party in New York, Heidi Klum lived up to her reputation. The model once again captivated her guests by appearing as “ET”, Steven Spielberg's emblematic extraterrestrial. The one who likes to tell stories through her disguises replayed one of the cult scenes from the feature film: this moment where the alien wears a wig and feminine accessories to appear more human. Tom Kaulitz, Heidi Klum's husband, was also dressed as ET, but in a more sober version, without accessories, reinforcing the effect of the duo.

A perfect illusion

For this stunning transformation, Heidi Klum worked with a team of makeup artists and prosthetic specialists. As the Daily Mail clarified, she wore a full face mask to restore her character's wrinkled skin and bulging eyes. Every part of her outfit would have been tailor-made, so as to create a perfect illusion. To accentuate the costume's realism, she and her team added special contact lenses to replicate the creature's piercing gaze. The Prime Video teams, on hand to capture the evening, were treated to a few words from the performer. “It’s my favorite movie!” she declared, a bit nostalgic.

This costume, which required hours of preparation, was praised by the guests. Among them, Valentina Ferrer, Charli D'Amelio and Nicole Scherzinger, who did not overshadow their host.
