Fans of Dirty Dancing will probably still have to wait a while. Announced more than four years ago, the sequel to the cult 80s film is still awaited. However, Jennifer Grey, the interpreter of Bébé, has just delivered some cryptic, but rather encouraging, information on the progress of the project.
“I can’t tell you much about Dirty Dancing because I don’t want to make any promises,” the actress told GamesRadar+ at the London premiere of A Real Painhis new film. “I’m just waiting for them to really finalize the project because it has to be perfect. We can talk about it again the next time we see each other, when everything is hopefully sorted out. »
Better than nothing
These are encouraging words to say the least when we know that the project was still at a standstill not so long ago. Announced in 2020, the film was to be shot in 2024, until Hollywood strikes turned everything upside down and pushed back production to an unknown date.
We must now hope that Jennifer Gray is telling the truth, and that the delivery, however late it may be, will be “perfect”. Indeed, fans of the 1987 classic may want to know the new adventures of the one who cannot be left in a corner, they will be uncompromising!
