twist of theater for the host of TPMP who comes …

After 12 years of fruitful collaboration, Cyril Hanouna and the Canal+ group are on the verge of separating. A divorce which takes place in a particular context, since C8, the channel which broadcasts “Touche Pas à Mon Poste”, will stop broadcasting on February 28, 2025.

According to sources close to the matter, Canal+ will broadcast “TPMP” until February 28, 2025, but not beyond. A decision which follows that of Arcom not to renew the frequency of C8 after March 1st. Cyril Hanouna’s flagship show could even end on December 20 for economic reasons.

Vincent Bolloré saddened by the closure of C8

The big boss of the Canal+ group, Vincent Bolloré, would be very affected by the closure of C8, a channel he created in 2005.Vincent Bolloré is very sad about the closure of the channel he created in 2005“, confides one of his relatives. Despite everything, he still believes in the chances of an appeal to the Council of State.

As for the star host, the time has come for uncertainty. His options seem limited within the Canal+ group, especially since according to several sources, Vincent Bolloré is angry with him for the closure of C8. “I don’t see how CSTAR, which must devote 50% of its airtime to musical programs, can depreciate a program like TPMP”, analyzes a relative.

Hanouna conquers other media

Faced with this delicate situation, Cyril Hanouna has already started to prospect with other media groups. He notably met Nicolas de Tavernost, boss of BFMTV, RMC and RMC Story. “I have known Cyril Hanouna since his debut at M6. We met because we always have to talk to talented people when they have questions about their future, but we don’t have any projects together.“, confirms the manager.

Aware that his future on television is compromised, Cyril Hanouna is also working in secret on a new project far from the small screen. According to consistent information, he would dream of launching a digital platform offering a wide range of programs on the Internet, like what Webedia does. He would offer “TPMP” and produce new talents. An entrepreneurial adventure that he would like to pursue solo, without Canal+.

The next few weeks promise to be decisive for the future of Cyril Hanouna and “Touche Pas à Mon Poste”. If the divorce with Canal+ is confirmed, the host will have to reinvent himself to continue to entertain his audience. To be continued…
