Alain-Fabien Delon was last night live on the set of “C à vous” on France 5 to talk, of course, about his father and the tribute that will be paid to him in the coming days
It will be a philharmonic concert, with the screening of “nineteen extracts from Delon’s greatest films”, including La Piscine, Borsalino, Rocco et ses Frères and In the Skin of a Cop. “Each through a montage of three minutes and thirty seconds”. “Excerpts” which will be accompanied by their often legendary music, performed by a symphony orchestra of 80 musicians.
On set, Alain-Fabien was able to watch a very strong sequence again. Sunday May 19, 2019, where Alain Delon received the Palme d’Honneur, during the 72nd Cannes Film Festival. He then had very strong words:
“Tonight, it’s a bit of a posthumous tribute, but in my lifetime… I’m going to leave, but I won’t leave without thanking you… If I’m a star, and that’s why I want thank you, it is to the public that I owe it and to no one else.
On the verge of tears, Alain-Fabien Delon had a little difficulty holding back his tears:
“You took me by surprise there… He always talked about his departure, he was very clear about it, and it’s weird to hear it now, again…”
