actor Tom Holland launches non-alcoholic beer two years after quitting drinking

Actor Tom Holland, who stopped drinking alcohol two years ago after struggling with addiction, is launching a range of alcohol-free beers.

Because you are never better served than by yourself, two years after stopping drinking alcohol, Tom Holland is launching a non-alcoholic beer.

The star of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, 28, who stopped drinking in January 2022, announced with fanfare this Tuesday the arrival on the market of his new brand of non-alcoholic drink, “Bero”.

“It’s no secret that as a celebrity, you get offered these kinds of brand deals all the time,” the Spider-Man movie star told Forbes. “But I’ve never found something I’m particularly passionate about, until now.”

“When I stopped drinking, I started exploring the world of non-alcoholic beers and realized there was room for me,” he added.

Regarding the recipe, he humorously explained how his girlfriend Zendaya had, in a way, been helpful to him when designing the product: “Zendaya hates beer, she absolutely hates beer. She doesn’t drink it at all, and during the first round of testing she was like, ‘Wow, this is really good,’ and I was like, ‘Well, it’s probably not good sign’,” joked Tom Holland, who immediately made some changes.

A difficult fight

“My first year of sobriety was very difficult, and if I had Bero, I think it would have been easier,” said Tom Holland. The star has always been very open about why she decided to get sober and how tough the struggle was but also how sticking with it offers her immense reward.

The actor had stopped his consumption during “Dry January”, the challenge for the month of January without alcohol. “I was drinking too much. I was the type of person who, when I had a beer, couldn’t settle for just one beer. I knew I had a little problem for some time,” he confided.

He described the first few months as “difficult” and said he initially set a goal of remaining sober until his birthday, June 1. “After six months, I started to feel good,” he said. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done and arguably the greatest achievement of my life. I am very proud to be sober today,” he added.
