Nagui lets loose on Michel Sardou’s account in “C à vous” and reveals that he will never return in “Taratata”

Bercy (renamed Accor Arena), a legendary Parisian performance hall, celebrated its 40th anniversary on September 19. The birthday was celebrated with great fanfare since Nagui celebrated it, as he does, with his musical show Taratata and a host of artists.

The host of France 2 was the guest of C to you on France 5 this Wednesday October 16. Faced with Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine, he came to talk about this show which will be broadcast next week, on Friday October 25.

Nagui: his ambition for music

Journalist and columnist Patrick Cohen was full of praise for Nagui and Taratata. “Bravo Nagui for the ambition you have deployed for three decades for live music. And it’s true, really, thank you, thank you for these 30 years of Taratata” he said.

“Thank you, you’re adorable, it’s embarrassing” replied Nagui. “Sincerely ambition, I don’t deny it, I never gave up but I realize that with these images and with what you say that I’m just a kid in an amusement park who calls himself : ‘I’m incredibly lucky to be here’, to have the trust of the technicians, to have the trust of the channel, and above all, the trust of the artists. When I suggest to them with the whole gang: ‘what if you did this, with this and so and so’, but it doesn’t happen straight away sometimes.”

Before continuing by mentioning: “a crazy idea” which he had one day but the group Shaka Ponk refused. “I can understand whyi” he only slipped. “Maybe one day I’ll tell it” warned Nagui who did not wish to say more.

Michel Sardou: “no longer possible” in Taratata

Taratata sometimes allows for sometimes unexpected artist duos. “Before arriving at building duets“, there are several proposals that are made. In particular the duo Michel Sardou / Shaka Ponk, mentioned by Patrick Cohen. “It was a bit…” he said, grimacing.

“So I can tell you something” added Nagui, laughing slightly, “it will never be again“, speaking of Sardou. “He came on the show once and it won’t be possible again. Owe really didn’t get along well” he revealed to Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine. While specifying: “II don’t discuss the career, the singer, the talent but it’s normal for me to say to someone ‘welcome’ and to mean it, so… And I don’t think he wants it either so there you go.. .” concluded Nagui, without giving further details.
