“You have to accept the illness”: Demi Moore fondly talks about her ex-husband, Bruce Willis

Demi Moore is on the rise. Coming soon alongside Margaret Qualley in The Substancethe new film by Coralie Fargeat, whose French release is scheduled for November 6, 2024, the actress received the Career Archievement in Acting Award from the Hamptons International Film Festival (United States) on Sunday October 13, 2024.

She took advantage of the long discussion which followed this award to give news of her former husband, the actor Bruce Willis, suffering from fronto-temporal dementia revealed to the general public in 2022.

Demi Moore visits Bruce Willis every week

In 2022, Bruce Willis had to put an end to his film career due to this neurodegenerative disease which he had just been diagnosed with. With Demi Moore, the actor had three daughters: Rumer Glenn, born in 1988, Scout LaRue born in 1991, and Tallulah Belle, born in 1994.

In an interview given to CBS in September 2024, Demi More explained that she still devoted part of her schedule to her former husband. “When I’m in Los Angeles, I try to visit him every weekshe affirmed. (…) The most important thing is to meet him where he is and not get attached to what he was, because that only plunges you back into a feeling of lack, instead of appreciating the moment here”.
