Miss 2025: a journalist elected Miss Île-de-

The Miss election is fast approaching. The contenders for the succession of Ève Gilles are beginning to reveal themselves little by little. This was particularly the case of Miss Île-de-France this Saturday. The election took place, ironically, in Dammarie-les-Lys. The same city that would welcome the new students of the Star Academy in the evening.

The winner, Julie Dupont, will therefore defend her chances during the next Miss France competition. She hopes to follow in the footsteps of Ève Gilles, the Northerner who for a year wore her scarf most beautiful woman in France in the four corners of France. The young woman seems in any case equipped to assume such a role, she who already has a well-rounded career compared to her future rivals.

The journey of Julie Dupont, the new Miss Île-de-France

The contenders for the crown are generally in their early twenties and are just starting their studies. Julie Dupont, at 26 years old and 1.76 meters tall, knows, already exactly what she wants to do in life. She is in fact already a journalist and works as a camera operator-editor at Webedia, a huge media group. Very comfortable in her sneakers, she already seems to know where she wants to go.

After studying journalism in the USA, in the capital Washington DC, she returned to France near in Hauts-de-Seine. During her presentation speech, she did not hesitate to announce the color to the other candidates. “I don’t keep my tongue in my pocket! ». The election of Miss France is therefore a plus for her, but nothing vital if she does not reach the highest step of the podium.

Miss Île-de-France looks back on her haircut

After the incredible debut of Ève Gilles around her haircut, and her choice to present herself with a boyish cut, another problem is likely to present itself with Julie Dupont. The young woman is indeed very proud of her afro cut and this is the characteristic that she absolutely wants to highlight during the next Miss France competition.

« CIt’s true that I wanted to represent a category of women that we don’t often see in the competition. Hence the Afro cut that I really wanted to have during the elections and different events. This would be an opportunity for me to highlight a cause that is close to my heart : diversity in the media. I haven’t always been very comfortable with my afro”. A cut that suits him perfectly, hoping that it will bring him luck next December.
