“I saw vice win over virtue”: a bad atmosphere in The Master of the Game? Jeanfi Janssens swings backstage

After The Traitors on M6 and while Canal+ offers its life-size version of the board game The WerewolvesTF1 decided to copy the recipe in turn. Also, it was this Friday, October 11, 2024 that the channel unveiled its new show: The Game Master.

Bad luck for the channel, these first two episodes were blown up by the return of Captain Marleau on 2 audience-wise (5.1 million fans versus 2.7 million curious people). Certainly, the figures are good on the FRDA-50 target (average of 32.8%), but this is not impressive, particularly with regard to investment. What is there to fear about a rescheduling in the second part of the evening in the weeks to come? To be continued.

Jeanfi Janssens already eliminated from Game Master

Speaking of the beginnings of Game Masterwe already know the name of his first eliminated. While the different candidates must here not discover a traitor, but the identity of their host in a castle (helped by an accomplice), it is Jeanfi Janssens who failed to convince his partners to continue the investigation alongside them.

An early elimination which, unsurprisingly, somewhat disappointed the main person concerned. “It’s always hard knowing you’re not wanted ! It’s a disenchantment“, he whispered. And further deplored: “We eliminate the nicest ones first! With Chantal Ladesou, we were in the hot seat, she told me: “so that means they don’t love us?“.

A bad atmosphere on set?

On this subject, if the concept of TF1 is clearly more good-natured than The Traitors d’M6, often a source of intense clashes on the board, this does not prevent the game from giving pride of place to strategies. A classic situation, but which, according to Jeanfi Janssens, would have quickly weighed on the atmosphere during filming.

When we arrive in this game, we are told about the strength of the collective, it is friendly and warm. (…) It was quite a fun atmosphere.he explained. Afterwards, it got tougherdoubt has crept in, and that’s never good!“And then added:”There were people with eyes a little more vicious than mine! I figured they would be the ones to leave first. I saw vice win over virtue!

The advantage of these words is that they are more effective in motivating us to watch the sequel than the TF1 trailers…
