Debordo Leekunfa: “I’m not using Viviane to relaunch my career, but I just wanted…”

After his cover of the song “Viviane” went viral, Debordo Leekunfa found himself at the center of a controversy. This, because he wanted to do the remix and not a collaboration with Prince Aimé, the author of the song.

In Cameroon, rapper Maahlox made several outings to show his indignation towards the Ivorian artist.

He accused Debordo Leekunfa of wanting to use the song “Viviane” to relaunch his career.

Later, DJ Arafat’s ex-friend made an outing to clarify public opinion. He expressed himself in these terms:

« I don’t use “Viviane” in order to restart things in terms of my musical career. I just wanted to respond to the demand of music lovers and Internet users. I also do it for Prince Aimé himself.

Otherwise, it was in 2019 on a whim that my goddaughter and I did an acapella of “Viviane”. While we were in the kitchen, we started singing like this.

The video therefore dates from 2019. It started to go viral in 2020. This year again, it was relaunched.

“Vivane”, this composition by Prince Aimé, was released several years ago now.

Over time, it had been trivialized. This song had its period of glory in the early 2000s. But God allowed it to resurface in 2024 thanks to social networks.

In life, no one is behind anyone else. God has a plan for everyone. He acted at the right time. So let’s respect God’s time. And also the work of the spirit ».

It should be noted that faced with all this controversy surrounding the release of this song, Debordo Leekunfa decided to abandon this famous remix.

News that saddened his fans, who implored him to reverse his decision. We will come back to this.
