According to “Le Parisien”, the woman who accuses rugby players Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jégou in Argentina has obtained a medical certificate attesting that she “does not suffer from Willebrand disease”.

A new element that raises questions. While the Mendoza prosecutor asked the judge in charge of the investigation into the alleged rape of which French XV players Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jégou are accused to pronounce a “dismissal of the case”, the defense has just brought a new item in the file. According to our colleagues from “Parisien”, a hematologist issued a medical certificate to the complainant, Soledad, 39, attesting that she “does not suffer from Willebrand disease”.

This syndrome, which hinders blood clotting, was mentioned for the first time in this case by the complainant’s dentist, who claimed to have pulled out several of her teeth the week preceding the alleged attack and confirmed that certain marks visible on her face could be due to this intervention combined with this disease. During interrogation, Soledad later confirmed that she suffered from Von Willebrand disease. Then a hematologist did the same, claiming to have received the young woman in his office on May 23, 2024.

So what is this new medical report worth? To the “Parisien”, the plaintiff’s lawyers assured that it was “highly valuable evidence”, because it called into question part of the readings made by the forensic expert of the marks observed on the Soledad’s body the day after the alleged attack. But the magistrate in charge of the investigation, Darío Nora, does not see it that way. He confirmed that the hearing to drop the charges “will take place” on Friday October 18. As expected.
