But while the presenter bids farewell to Frédéric Lopez’s programs, what will be the new face of the discovery shows? As for “Rendez-vous a terre stranger”, it’s Laury Thilleman who takes over. And for its variation in the regions of France, it was the Quebec adventurer Samuel Ostiguy who was chosen to replace him.
Almost unknown to the general public, this 38-year-old guide describes himself as a “adventure architect” on social networks. After a stint with the armed forces in Canada from 2004 to 2012, where he was deployed to Afghanistan in communications services, he turned towards adventure in 2014. Among his exploits, he made a 40-day expedition in an unexplored land located in Antarctica. He appeared for the first time in the wake of Frédéric Lopez in the special program “Our true nature” filmed in Quebec and broadcast on January 9 on France 2, with Adriana Karembeu, Gérard Jugnot, Barbara Pravi and Donel Jack’ sman.
