In the middle of the campaign, Elon Musk shatters all records on

It’s been a busy weekend for Elon Musk. The controversial businessman spoke at a Donald Trump campaign rally and, at the same time, managed to cross the symbolic mark of 200 million subscribers on his own platform. In an article relayed by our colleagues from BFM, we learn that he is also a compulsive tweeter with no less than 2,500 tweets posted in September 2024.

While the social network’s valuation is declining, the industry mogul continues to promote (his) freedom of expression on the platform. He became one of Donald Trump’s major supporters in his campaign against Kamala Harris. Since the acquisition of Twitter, he has gained between 2 and 5 million subscribers per month.

7 accounts above the 100 million subscriber mark

After Elon Musk, we find several personalities, mainly North American, in the top 10. The 7 largest accounts on the platform each have more than 100 million subscribers. The complete list, and their subscribers as of 7/10/24:

  1. Elon Musk – 200 millions
  2. Barack Obama – 131 millions
  3. Cristiano Ronaldo – 113 millions
  4. Justin Bieber – 110 millions
  5. Rihanna – 108 millions
  6. Katy Perry – 106 millions
  7. Narendra Modi – 102 millions
  8. Taylor Switft – 95 millions
  9. Donald Trump – 91 millions
  10. Ariana Grande – 85 millions

Beyond the number of subscribers, Musk impresses with the reach of his messages. Over the last 12 hours, his tweets/reposts generated 202 million impressions in total (we counted by hand). All this strike force could help Musk achieve his main objective at the end of the year: to see Donald Trump (re)become president of the United States.
