Marina Foïs is a French actress, known for his ability to play varied roles. She has demonstrated her acting skills in both comedies and dramas. She began her career in the theater, before becoming known to the general public thanks to her appearances on television and in the cinema. During her career, she has starred in many films, such as Policies, La Bostella, The Anonymous Emotives, and more recently in Impeccable et The Legend of Manolo. In addition to her career as an actress, she has also lent her voice to several animated films and has been involved in various directing and production projects.
Marina Foïs, an eclectic actress
Popular since the end of the 90s for her humor, her intelligence and her unfailing wit, Marina Foïs is also an actress on edge. She often succeeds in putting her own emotions at the service of her characters.
In the feature film Huge signed Sophie Letourneur, the 54-year-old actress plays the character of a woman who becomes pregnant when her husband tampers with her pack of pills. The filming of this film took place in a Parisian maternity ward. And the shooting conditions were special for this film which was a great success when it was released.
“We were filming at the Trousseau hospital”
Guest on the show Dailyshe told an amusing anecdote on the subject: “We were filming at the Trousseau hospital (editor’s note: in the 12th arrondissement of Paris), and there it becomes exciting and very intimate… The Saint-Antoine hospital was closed so all the staff were at Trousseau. While we were was filming, for 3-4 days, I was filming the childbirth scene Non-stop, women came in to act in the scene or not and said. ‘Ah, I gave birth to you from Lazarus (editor’s note: his son born in 2004)!'”she confided.
Marina Foïs loved these filming conditions, which changed the atmosphere of the scenes. “What kills us on the sets, it’s habit and comfort. There was none of that. None of this comfort”she clarified during her appearance in the program.
This drama in the life of the actress
On the private side, Marina Foïs is in a relationship with the director Eric Lartigau. Together, they are the parents of two children: Lazarre and Georges. The couple met in painful circumstances for the mother. In fact, she had just lost her brother in a plane crash during an aerobatic meeting.
A drama that turned the actress’s life upside down: “I met him when of my brother’s death“, she revealed to Psychology Magazine. And to conclude: “He was never afraid of my pain, but he forbade me to lock myself in it. Very quickly, he forced me to look forward. It was violent. But I think he made me saved. The life of the Foïs is an unstable balance between a lot of luck and a lot of misfortune. We are used to disaster, but we also have a life-saving practice of listening and access to psychologists.
