While waiting for the release of the second part of season 7 ofOutlanderthe production tries to keep fans waiting with photos that seem to amuse them a lot. This is the case of this anachronistic cliché by Richard Rankin, the interpreter of Roger.
Each new image giving clues to what awaits us in Part 2 of Season 7 ofOutlander is closely scrutinized by fans. This time, it’s a photo of Richard Rankin taken on the film set that’s getting people talking. The one who plays the role of Roger MacKenzie was photographed in period dress – from the 18th century – with a cup of coffee, all the most modern, in his hand, which contrasts somewhat with the rest of his suit. The photo posted on Instagram, among others showing the actors on set, sparked many reactions from fans of the historical series. “Richard with the coffee, it’s so funny”commented one of them. “Roger, contemplating the past with a good pumpkin spice latte from Ye Olde Starbucks”laughed another. “Roger took his coffee back 200 years?”can we still read among the comments.
Outlander : promising photos for part 2 of season 7
“My plans for Friday? Trying to decide which of these photos will become my new phone wallpaper”quips the caption of the photo carousel which also shows the other actors ofOutlander. We see Caitriona Balfe laughing alongside John Bell, who plays young Ian Murray. David Berry, who plays Lord John Grey, is photographed while the hairdresser and dresser put the finishing touches on his costume consisting of a long overcoat. In another photo, we see Sophie Skelton in jeans, visibly amused, in a scene from the 1980s.
Outlander : changes heralding a darker part?
Sam Heughan, meanwhile, appears in elegant 18th century attire, this time in a dark black leather jacket. An outfit which, according to some, leads people to say that the rest of season 7 promises to be darker, particularly for Jamie Fraser. These photos also show Charles Vandervaart, who will be found in the role of William Ransom, Jamie’s hidden illegitimate son who played an essential role in the last season. If fans will discover part 2 of season 7 at the end of November, the actors have just finished filming season 8, which will bring the adventures of Claire and Jamie Fraser to an end.
