Denis Brogniart paid a moving tribute to his friend, who was a journalist: “My friend Jérôme Le Fauconnier left yesterday, defeated by this filthy Charcot disease after having fought with incredible courage. He was a sensitive, funny man, a remarkable journalist at the L’Equipe newspaperan accomplice of thirty years on many events that we covered together.” The presenter of Koh Lanta was obviously very close to Jérôme Le Fauconnier. “He wrote to the end with passion. I loved his finesse of spirit, his humor, his self-deprecation, his courage and his altruism which guided him until the end, never complaining. I remember of this outburst of laughter a few months ago when I poured you a splash of ice water as part of the Ice bucket challenge to raise awareness about Charcot’s disease @arsla_. Rest in peace my Jérôme… I think very much of his wife Anouk and his two sons Quentin and Elliot.”
