Kaiden Guhle explained why he hasn’t gained weight

Kaiden Guhle has still not received the official green light from the doctors, but he now wears a regular sweater during Sainte-Flanelle training, which remains excellent news in itself. The 22-year-old brigadier remains an extremely vital cog for the blue-white-red defensive brigade, so to know it is in good shape following its operation is triumphant news.

Moreover, during his last appearance in front of the lenses, number 21 allowed himself a long update concerning his physical condition. Let’s say that his dialogue is very attractive, he who indicated that he felt stronger, even if he did not gain any pounds during the last summer period.

“I didn’t gain a lot of weight (this summer) honestly, but I feel a lot stronger. I learned to use my body better, in the corners, just to protect myself. I feel stronger, I feel good. I tried to gain some weight, but it didn’t feel as fast…I’m ready. I feel good. When they want me to play, I will be ready. If it’s tomorrow, if it’s the first match (next Wednesday), I’ll be ready.”

Casually, some current defenders will have to accept another bench since the waltz of the musical chairs on defense will start again when Guhle returns. It’s obvious that he will regain his place in the lineup, thanks to his status as a “young veteran” and his stuff since he put on the Montreal Canadiens jersey.

Remember that last season, Guhle collected 22 points in 70 games, while distributing a total of 116 hits and blocking a total of 178 shots. Its effectiveness is mainly at the defensive level, robustness and leadership.
