The cream of high schools? This establishment in the 2nd richest city in welcomed Michel Blanc and many other stars

There are schools that see students passing through all the years without them necessarily being talked about in the years that follow, and there are others. The Pasteur high school located in Neuilly-sur-Seine, the second richest city in is one of them. It must be said that among the adolescents who studied within its walls is, among others, Michel Blanc, a member of the Splendid troupe who died of anaphylactic shock at the age of 72.

And it was on the benches of this same high school that Michel Blanc began to write his destiny since it was there that he met Gérard Jugnot, Christian Clavier and Thierry Lhermitte, his future acolytes in the success encountered by The Bronzed which we no longer present: “We sat next to each other (with Gérard Jugnot in 3rd grade, editor’s note) and we started the stupidity contest. We weren’t hooligans but we passed little phrases under the table to make our friends laugh. At the end of the German lesson, the teacher looked at us and said ‘both of you, never together again’. It was premonitory” indicated Michel Blanc at Parisian.

If the Pasteur high school can therefore boast of having played a major role in the formation of the Splendid troupe, it is not only these fabulous actors who studied there. The list of stars who attended the establishment is long.

François Hollande and Jean Louis Aubert studied at the Pasteur high school

It must be said that the school had what it took to attract crowds. Beyond its preparatory classes for the grandes écoles, the school has an architecture that is recognizable among thousands. Inspired by Renaissance and Louis XIII models, the facades are made of bricks and stones topped with a campanile.

On the teaching side, Alain Besançon was a history teacher, Aurélie Filippetti, a literature teacher and Jean-Paul Sartre, a philosophy teacher. And it’s not just the faculty that has become famous. Among the students, there were Jean-Louis Aubert, François Hollande, Bernard-Henri Lévy, Richard Orlinski, Jean Sarkozy, Amanda Sthers, Pierre Tchernia, and certain members of the Splendid troupe mentioned above.

The establishment is such that it was chosen on several occasions for the filming of feature films such as Scout alwaysdirected by Gérard Jugnot in 1985, The sacred union in 1989, 36 Quai des Orfèvres in 2004 and more recently Neuilly his mother! in 2009.
