Died at 72, Michel Blanc was able to convince the public thanks to Jean-Claude Dusse and obtain awards

A popular and award-winning actor, the French actor has left his mark on French cinema with memorable roles and several prestigious awards.

Michel Blanc died, according to Match, at the age of 72 while in hospital. He left his mark on generations thanks to his character of Jean-Claude Dusse in “Les Bronzés”. The actor has, however, been able to diversify his roles, playing in popular comedies like “Come to my house, I’m staying with a friend”, or in more serious films like “Marche à l’ombre”. He has also played characters in more recent works such as “Kiss Whoever You Will”.

Prestigious awards

If Michel Blanc was appreciated by the general public, he also received prestigious awards. In 1986, he won the Best Actor Prize at the Film Festival for his role in “Tenue de Soirée”. In 1994, he received the Screenplay Prize at the same festival for “Gross Fatigue”, and in 2012, he was awarded a César for best supporting actor for “L’Exercice de l’Etat”.
