Yaël Braun-Pivet is a very busy politician in her daily life. She has been President of the National Assembly for many years and, in her private life, she can count on the support of her husband. The latter, named Vianney, is omnipresent for her, as she explained in the columns of Gala on September 26. The president notably affirmed that it was essential to have support when embarking on a career in politics. “But it is, in fact, essential to have a companion capable of supporting you in your choices and your personal life.” she said.
It was at the age of 46 that Yaël Braun-Pivet began his political career. EShe confides that she had known her husband since “the age of 16” and the latter has always been his main support. Vianney is a man who is very present with her but also their children. “We dine very late. My husband managed a lot of things, notably the Parcoursup evenings for our children”she said, grateful. Yaël Braun-Pivet also confided that the latter “assumes the famous mental load which is essential for the whole family”.

For Yaël Braun-Pivet, finding a balance was very important. His family life is turned upside down by his career which takes up a lot of his time. Thus, Vianney’s presence in her daily life allows her to reassure herself, knowing that she is supported by her husband. “This is what allows me to pursue this political career.” , she said. As she has explained on several occasions, the couple she forms with Vianney is based on great trust but also a certain flexibility.

This is not the first time that the President of the National Assembly has praised her husband. The latter, an executive at L’Oréal, is used to traveling thanks to his work. The couple, who are parents of five children, have managed to find a balance that suits everyone. “He doesn’t need to put his career aside because our children are grown up,” explained Yaël Braun-Pivet who is grateful for her husband’s support. President since 2017, she is aware that her husband is a pillar of this family.
