Inès Reg returns to the altercation with Natasha St-Pier in “Dancing with the Stars”

Comedian Inès Reg, who is launching her new show this month, returned to her clash with Natasha St-Pier which occurred behind the scenes of the show “Dancing with the Stars”.

She turns the page. Made famous in 2019 thanks to a sketch that went viral, Inès Reg is back on stage this October with a new show entitled “On est ensemble”.

On the occasion of the promotion, the comedian returned to her clash with Natasha St-Pier which occurred during the last season of “Dancing with the Stars”. “I don’t talk about it on the show at all. I really want this to be behind me. It made me suffer, we’re not going to lie,” she told Le Parisien in an article published this Monday.

Inès Reg confides in particular that she feared the impact of this controversy on the rest of her career: “Today, I am reassured, we have sold more than 100,000 tickets (…) but at some point we are afraid of losing his audience and, before that, to lose himself. When you read false things about yourself when you know full well what you did, what you are, it’s upsetting. The worst thing to experience…” she confided.

“Hyper peaceful”

“A trifle like that which takes on such magnitude… I don’t want this story to be written on my CV,” she continued. We’re all looking for gossip, I was like that myself. But there, I stand straight in my boots in front of you, in front of the French, in front of Natasha St-Pier: I did not threaten anyone, I did not insult anyone,” she assures.

“There have never been any (death threats made against the singer, Editor’s note), even Natasha St-Pier said so. Behind it, there was an outpouring of hatred, messages on social networks, death threats. I’ve experienced some horrible things, even though it’s on the Internet, on a daily basis, it’s difficult,” added Inès Reg, who today says she is “very peaceful” and determined to turn the page.

“It made me grow up and understand a new world, that of television, of the media. Since I arrived in 2019 it has been like a long, beautiful, peaceful river: I opened the doors one after the other, a week at the Olympia, a Bercy, I made my videos on my networks and It had millions of views. Well, you have to experience it once in your life – a thing, a stain – and we see how we can get over it, erase it, or live with it. Today, it’s part of my story. I am very peaceful,” she concluded.

For the record, the altercation between Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pierre during filming in January of the latest season of “Dancing with the Stars” on TF1 caused a lot of ink to flow. Inès Reg said that Natasha St-Pier called her a “little slut” when she asked him to turn down the volume of his music. The Quebec singer, who ended up winning the dance competition, had indicated for her part that she had filed a complaint against the comedian.
