Catherine Lara does it again on “Les Enfoirés”: “Some come just on the day of capture”

She decided to leave the troop Bastards and made it clear. Indeed, Catherine Lara was David Barbet’s guest in the podcast Censorship pour Telepro a few hours ago. During her visit, she made new revelations about the troupe she was part of for 30 years.

Revelations that are not new. Indeed, in May 2023, when he came to Jordan de Luxe, the 79-year-old artist was already emptying his bag on the subject of Bastards. Or rather, on the spirit of the troop which has changed over the years.

Les Enfoirés, “a gas plant” for Catherine Lara

A change that did not suit Catherine Lara. “I was tired of dressing up”confided the violinist to the journalist of C8 before specifying: “I thought I looked even more disguised than the disguise. I felt ridiculous.”

Nevertheless, the ex-member of the troop of Bastards qualified his remarks and admitted having known “wonderful times”. “But it’s true that it became a bit of a gas factory. At the time, I still had memories with Maurane, with Bruel, with all our friends, with Souchon… We made whole pieces”she remembered.

Before continuing: “We had time to express something. I remember Un premier pas with Bruel and Goldman. We had done the whole song. There we do three sentences, and then we go out, and then we come back.” Comments partly reiterated on June 29, 2024 at the microphone ofEurope 1 in the show There is not just one life in life.

Some would only come “for television”

“When I met the Enfoirés, we had time to do real duets, trios. We sang together. We had 5 minutes to express ourselves and try to balance some emotions”she lamented on the radio before adding: “And now, we say two sentences, tack, we go out. There is a footballer who comes and sings like crazy, it doesn’t matter. Then, there is another who sings well. I have nothing against, but I no longer had my place in there”.

This Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Catherine Lara made it clear that the page of Bastards was indeed shot. In addition to once again evoking the too many disguises and the side “gas uzine” performances, the 79-year-old artist also deplored another situation which has annoyed her over the years.

“Now this is the show to be on. Some come just on the day of the recording. I let out a big shout because they were just coming on television day. It’s not a television show, we’re here for a good cause. It’s still stupid, I told them personally. This is why I no longer go to Les Enfoirés, it’s over”she said to justify her departure from the troupe after 30 years of participation.
