Camille Combal returns to NRJ and replaces Sébastien Cauet

The host of “Dancing with the Stars” and “Mask Singer” on TF1 will very soon return every afternoon to the radio station but for a limited time.

It goes away and it comes back… Sixteen years after leaving the NRJ antenna, Camille Combal is back on the station. This is what the radio announced during a press conference given this Monday, September 30.

The host of TF1, who notably presents “Dancing with the Stars” and “Mask Singer”, worked on NRJ at the start of his career, more precisely from 2006 to 2008. In ten days from now, he will be every day on air from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. “in events” as he clarified. According to our colleagues at ParisianCamille Combal should, in fact, only hold this position until December.

The presenter, aged 43, thus takes over part of the time slot left vacant by Sébastien Cauet who previously had control of the station from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. In November 2023, NRJ decided to remove the host, accused by several women of rape and sexual assault, from its antenna. In May 2024, the latter, who disputes the facts, was indicted for three rapes, including two against minors over 15 years old at the time of the alleged acts, as well as for a sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old. .

The 52-year-old presenter was placed under judicial supervision with various obligations including that of paying a deposit of 100,000 euros, not entering into contact with the people who filed a complaint or even being banned from practicing his profession. Since his departure from NRJ, he was replaced by Louis Daubé.

By arriving on NRJ, Camille Combal returns to her first loves. The host, in fact, began his career on radio and more precisely at Fun Radio in 2004. He then worked as an assistant then as a switchboard operator before co-presenting a show. He was then poached by NRJ in 2006 to replace Manu Payet at the presentation of 6-9. He then hosted the morning show alongside Florian Gazan and Bruno Guillon.

He then always worked on the airwaves, successively on Virgin Radio (2006-2012), on Europe 1 (2012-2014) then again on Virgin Radio where he hosted the morning show of the station called “Virgin Tonic”. In 2020, he stopped radio to devote himself to his many projects on TF1.

This return therefore seems to delight him even if it will be short-lived. It must be said that the facilitator continues to be teeming with projects. In addition to presenting season 7 of “Mask Singer” and season 14 of “Dancing with the Stars,” he will appear in the series Ghosts produced by TF1 and Disney + and adapted from an English format. Camille Combal had already tried his hand at comedy in 2023 in the series Need love broadcast on OCS.
