You can see the friendly Richard Turcotte at the helm of the show Hello Hello Weekend while he now succeeds Eve-Marie Lortie, who now hosts Hi Hello. On social media, Richard has unfortunately just announced immensely sad news and it is difficult to hold back our tears while reading his story.
First of all, Richard Turcotte shared a very sad announcement last August when he revealed, in an extremely touching message, that the partner of his good friend Philippe Huard had taken her last breath.
On August 28, he published this:
« Our friend Claire left us last night. Her boyfriend Philippe, her future husband and one of my best boyfriends is in mourning today, like several of us too.
Claire
As soon as he saw her
He saw Claire in her game
This little piece of woman
was going to lead a lot in his life
And that of so many others too
As soon as he knew her
It was more and more clear
They are more
They already knew that they would experience their union at high speed
As soon as they took each other
It was crystal clear
There wasn’t a second to lose
Because when we know how to love ourselves
You have to do it strong, well, elegantly
As soon as they stuck together
They spent most of their time there
From one continent to another, in each other’s arms
They built a bridge there to take families across
They got married
Around the hearts, the rings are
past
The church had nothing to do with it
Love was there for everything
And the time reaper has announced itself
Time now would be borrowed
Claire gets attached to a Phil
who should let her fly away
And when the sky is clear
We will always be able to see it,
the beautiful Claire flying a kite ???? »

In the last hours, Richard has just shared a new message concerning Claire’s departure and let’s say that it is impossible not to have your heart in pieces reading what he wrote.
We learn that Claire was to marry her husband Philippe. Here is what the host wrote on Facebook:
« Today I had to travel from Quebec to Montreal and back as an officiant to marry my great boyfriend Philippe Huard to his beautiful Claire. My girlfriend had to wear her pearl necklace for the occasion.
Unfortunately, Claire left us a month ago. She lost her fight against cancer. We know that she is watching us now, with her dad from the tops of her mountains in Switzerland.
Today I brought Phil to Quebec with me for the whole weekend. At 4 p.m. (wedding time) he put his ring on his finger, we gave Claire a cheer. ????????
My girlfriend wore her pearl necklace for the occasion. »

Of immense sadness. We think extremely strongly of Philippe, Richard and Claire’s loved ones.
Our most sincere condolences.
The last few weeks have been extremely difficult for the Salut Bonjour team while Ève-Marie Lortie is also in mourning.
The host’s mother passed away on August 15 when she had just learned that she had cancer, less than a month earlier. She was able to take her last breath surrounded by her loved ones by receiving medical assistance in dying.
Ève-Marie Lortie commented on this sad news in an interview with 7 Jours . here’s what she mentioned:
« My summer was dedicated to him. Over the past few weeks, I have been by her side and accompanied her in her final days. The whole family supported her.
She died on August 15. She was diagnosed with cancer on July 16. It all happened in about a month. My mother requested medical assistance in dying. She left with all her dignity. It was his will. »
