The third stage of Beijing Express is launched in a breathtaking setting
After an emotional start to the adventure, the race is launched again in India. As usual, Stéphane Rotenberg and the production concocted funny missions for the Beijing Express candidates. To begin this new stage, the pairs had to recognize cult film titles thanks to their original soundtracks revisited by the locals. Determined, Rose-Marie and Cinzia are the first to guess the three songs and can thus retrieve their instructions to hitchhike in the direction of Stéphane. The latter awaits them in Kishangarh, 140 km away.
This is where an absolutely magnificent landscape of white marble is offered to the five pairs still in the competition. Wearing a pair of skis for two, the candidates’ mission is to find a large white snowflake in the clearing. This time, Clément and Emeline are the first to qualify for the next day’s event, followed by Rose-Marie and Cinzia then Christophe and Claire. Fabrice and Briac arrive too late and do not have the opportunity to put on their skis. Always very joking, Briac’s spiritual father then reacts with humor by slipping: “It leaves me unmoved”.
The red flag is making a comeback
The time has come to begin this sixth day of competition. The three qualified pairs, namely Clément and Emeline, Rose-Marie and Cinzia as well as Christophe and Claire, will do everything to win the advantage offered this week. One thing is certain, they will have to have a strong stomach. And for good reason, the aim of this test consists of taste some slightly eccentric local specialties. Goat’s testicles and tail with spices, bitter melon juice, intestines with fermented bamboo… That’s not very tasty! These are ultimately Claire and Christophe who win AND the red flagthe most powerful of Beijing Express which allows them to stop any pair for 5 minutes. And this, while Stéphane Rotenberg awaits all the candidates at the Pushkar temple, 118km away.
Obviously, with the red flag in their possession, Christophe and Claire come first and win the amulet. Equally deserving, Fabrice and Briac present themselves to the host in second position. “I have the thrill of this comeback”Briac even blurted out. Cinzia and Rose-Marie, who arrived last, choose Fabrice and Briac for the final duel and thus spare Jean-Claude and Axel.
Beijing Express 2024: which pair was eliminated?
For this new final duel, Briac will face Cinzia. Both of them must go to the night market and make 5 local sweets and then sell them for 10 rupees each. In the end, it was Briac who returned first, thus qualifying his pair with Fabrice for the next stage. “I conjured fate, I’m happy”reacts the candidate not without emotion. On the side of Cinzia and Rose-Marie, disappointment is felt. “We leave sad not to continue the adventure. It’s true that we would have liked to continue it until the end but we are so grateful to have done all that and traveled India. It’s a dream that comes true a second time”nevertheless react the two Parisians. The latter decide to give their amulet to Fabrice and Briac. A nice boost for the rest of the adventure.
