Melanie Hamrick doesn’t care about criticism of her relationship with Mick Jagger. In an interview given to Timesthe companion of the legendary singer of the Rolling Stones spoke about their age difference of 44 years, which often makes people talk.
“I don’t think about it. Everyone will have their opinion. If you think about other people’s opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it,” said the 37-year-old former ballerina, before emphasizing that she preferred to put herself “blinders” to concentrate on the essentials.
“Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. So let them mind their own business,” she continued.
A relationship that lasts
Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger, 81, have been a couple for more than 10 years and have a seven-year-old son, Deveraux. Their story began in February 2014, during a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo. At the time, Melanie was a dancer with American Ballet Theater, a career she continued until 2019.
Today the author of two novels, Melanie Hamrick seems fulfilled in her relationship with the rocker and that’s all that matters to her.
