Alice Detollenaere discusses her relationship with the swimmer’s ex, Valérie Bègue

In an interview with the Gala site, Alice Detollenaere spoke about her relationship with Valérie Bègue, the ex-partner of Camille Lacourt. And the way in which the former Miss placed her trust in her with the daughter she shares with the swimmer.

An unexpected complicity. In a relationship with Camille Lacourt since 2019, with whom she had a boy, Marius, born June 1, 2021, Alice Detollenaere spoke to the Gala site about her role as mother-in-law to Jazz, the girl whom ex-swimming champion had with Valérie Bègue. The young woman took the opportunity to greet the former Miss France 2008 who placed her trust in her from the start of her relationship with Camille Lacourt. An attitude which is at the origin of the very strong friendship which unites the two women today.

“Valérie is truly an extraordinary woman who I adore. She immediately trusted me with her daughter. I find that very strong and courageous, especially since today I don’t know how I would react if I had to entrust my child to someone else. She had this intelligence that I find incredible,” she says. “Through Jazz, we found a very strong friendship. So I didn’t expect to form this blended family even in my wildest dreams. If it could be like that for everyone, that would be great,” she adds.

Alice Detollenaere took advantage of this interview to discuss the new awareness campaign of the Ruban Rose association, dedicated to information and support for research into breast cancer, of which she is the godmother. In 2020, she revealed that she was in remission after battling breast cancer for months. A fight that she had chosen to publicize in order to raise awareness in society on this still taboo subject, and to encourage women to get tested.
