Jon Bon Jovi Helped Distressed Woman From Jumping Off Bridge

Jon Bon Jovi showed his compassion by stepping in during a critical situation on September 10. While filming a music video for “The People’s House,” from his latest album “Forever,” in Nashville, the musician spotted a woman in distress on the John Seigenthaler Footbridge, about to jump into the Cumberland River.

Without losing his cool, the 62-year-old rocker approached her, exchanged a few reassuring words before taking her in his arms. With the help of his assistant, he managed to move the woman away from the edge and bring her to safety, while continuing to comfort her.

Police and firefighters who arrived shortly afterward praised the star for his quick response. Nashville police even shared on Twitter: “Jon Bon Jovi and crew helped a woman down from a ledge above the Cumberland River to safety.”

Jon Bon Jovi, who owns a bar and restaurant in Nashville, has not yet commented on the incident.
