Camille Lellouche saw death in the face
In September 2023, Camille Lellouche was with her partner and daughter on a trip to Morocco. During their stay, the country was hit by a violent earthquake that caused a lot of damage. When the disaster happened, the singer was alone in the hotel with her daughterher partner having gone out with friends.
Her chilling story lifted the veil on the immense fear she experienced during this trying evening. Camille Lellouche recounted waking up alone with “feels like I’m having a nightmare”. Immediately, his thoughts went to his daughter. She was only one year old at the time and sleeping alone in a room.
“I was sweating”
Camille Lellouche recalled her state of mind a few seconds after the first tremors. “I broke out in a sweat right away, shock I think. I was sweating right away. There were ages, things, I said to myself, if it falls…”the artist recalled.
“When I open the door, I see my daughter in bed, standing on the little thing and I saw her shock. She doesn’t know what it is,” added Camille Lellouche. In a panic, the star thought her final hour was coming. “Honestly, I thought, ‘Ah, I’m going to die here’.”she revealed.

The damage to the hotel left the mother shocked. “I saw that everything had exploded outside the hotel room. There was water coming into the rooms and I was very, very scared“, revealed the actress. “I saw in the corridors, it was like in the movie Titanic, there was water entering the rooms”she added.
Camille Lellouche, who recently gave her opinion on the Mazan rape trial, finally managed to get out of the hotel room. Before that, she hurried to pack her daughter’s things quickly. Recalling that night of terror in Morocco, the star felt lucky. “It was a thing survival instinct“she concluded, still as affected a year after the events.
