The man who was at the helm for over twenty years will be passing the torch to Arthur. But long-time fans can rest assured: the 76-year-old presenter will be slipping mischievously into the candidate’s chair.

It is therefore with pleasure, and a touch of nostalgia, that Jean-Pierre Foucault agreed to return to the highlights of the show in TV 7 daysFor the host, the best moment of the program was most certainly the one and only day when a candidate pocketed the coveted million euros.
“The candidate was very talented and quite bold (…). It was a moment that we were all waiting for, and it arrived”confided, moved, the one who will also be for the thirtieth time at the controls of the Miss France election, on December 14th live from the Arena Futuroscope in Poitiers. Before concluding on a sadder note: “Unfortunately, this person is no longer of this world, but he left us with a wonderful memory.”

But the presenter, recently seen in the TV movie Murders on the Blue Coasthas not only had sweet moments in this TV game show. Logically, his most painful memory is none other than the day a candidate returned home empty-handed. “As he was from Marseille, it bothered me a lot”he first said in a humorous tone. “He answered the first question stupidly very quickly. The show was on a Saturday, I said to him: ‘I think you’re going to have a difficult Monday'”he remembered.
It is therefore with his head full of memories that Jean-Pierre Foucault will very soon start a new adventure. Indeed, he will host Gladiatorsa new game show, inspired by an American show, alongside Hélène Mannarino and Denis Brogniart. A highly anticipated return to the forefront for the man who has only presented exceptional programs for almost 14 years.
