SPORTS – South Korean Olympic shooter Kim Ye-ji, whose skill and nonchalance won over the public and the web during the Olympics, has landed her first acting role, that of a hitwoman, according to AFP.

The 10-meter pistol silver medalist will star alongside Indian actress and influencer Anushka Sen in a series called Crushaccording to a spokesperson for Asia Lab, a Seoul-based entertainment company. The drama will feature stars from at least seven different countries and will address themes such as racism and xenophobia.

An innate attitude

A short video shot in May during a World Cup event in Baku, then her ultra-calm demeanor combined with futuristic shooting glasses and a baseball cap worn backwards at the Paris Games this summer, made her a viral phenomenon. All of this was carried by multiple montages widely shared on social networks.
