The production has decided… Benjamin Castaldi at the helm of the Europe 2 morning show, another columnist was in the running!

The return to TV and radio meant change for many. This is how Benjamin Castaldi took over the Europe 2 morning show, alongside Marie Solis and Fabien Delettres. But it seems that he was not the only one in the running for the position at the start. Indeed, another columnist from Don’t touch my post hoped to take control of the radio show!

This is what was said on Monday, September 16, 2024 on the set of TPMP. Raymond Aabou for a moment, believed that the hosting of the Europe 2 morning show would come back to him.Last year, we talked about a lot of projects together. ‘You’ll see, facing Hanouna, there’s Europe 1 coming, there’s going to be mornings, we’re going to be on mornings. It’s in talks, maybe Europe 2. (…) And now I’m seeing because I’m maybe not going to go on Europe 2, I’m going to go on NRJ‘”, he said to Cyril Hanouna and his comrades.

Raymond Aabou quit his other job

Several new projects that pushed him to make a big decision, that of stopping his activity as a delivery driver: “I’m not going to be able to do four morning shows, five radio stations, Facing Hanouna, TPMP, the truck. I already do 5 hours/midnight, it’s not possible, I stop the truck.” Moreover, the columnist who changed his name remembered that Cyril Hanouna had revealed to him and to Valérie Benaïm, “straight in the eyes“that they had”99.9% chance of being on a morning“. So he hurried to “throw all [ses] briefs, all [ses] boots, all [ses] safety shoes“. “And in September, Benjamin Castaldi on the Europe 2 morning show“, continues Raymond Aabou, in a joking tone.

Cyril Hanouna initially planned on Europe 2 but…

What we didn’t know is that initially, the Europe 2 morning show had been offered to Cyril Hanouna. But “there was a little financial problem“, admitted the star presenter of C8. Finally, he joined Europe 1, where he presents his show We are walking on our heads from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.
