The former director of Miss France surprised her fans by appearing on stage at the ceremony last Saturday in Fort-de-France, leaving doubts hanging over a possible return to the competition.

His presence sowed doubt. This Saturday, September 14, Sylvie Tellier was on the stage of the Atrium in Fort-de-France during the Miss Martinique election.

On her social networks, the former director of Miss France even appeared at the end of the evening with Ève Gilles, Miss France 2024, present to crown the winner Angélique Angarni-Filopon aged 33.

Everything could thus lead us to believe that, two years after the announcement of her departure from the institution, Miss France 2002 had finally decided to make her return to the competition. To cut short the speculations and answer the questions of her fans, Sylvie Tellier chose to speak out in a story posted on her Instagram account this Tuesday, September 17.

“Here I am, a Parisian under the Parisian sunshe began. To answer your questions, no, I am not back in the Miss France organization. You were able to see me Saturday night for those who watched Miss Martinique. In fact, Frédéric Gilbert, who is the CEO, is there with his entire team and they are doing a fantastic job. I was there to present the Miss Martinique election and besides, you will find me at the Miss -Pas-de- election.she explained.

The woman who was at the head of Miss France for 17 years then continued by detailing her unbreakable link with the beauty contest. “You know, I remain honorary president of Miss France so I will be a friend of this wonderful organization all my life.” She concluded by giving her opinion on Angélique Angarni-Filopon, the new Miss Martinique: “I found her very pleasant, very friendly and I wish her good luck for the election”.

In September 2022, Sylvie Tellier announced that she was leaving the Miss France organization after 17 years of loyal service to devote herself to personal projects, including highlighting French heritage and know-how. Three months later, Alexia Laroche-Joubert, then president of Miss France, gave her the title of honorary president of the competition for life on the evening of the Miss France 2023 election. Since her retirement from the institution, Sylvie Tellier has released the book Crown and Prejudice (Fayard) in which she retraces her journey and shares her anecdotes about the competition. She is also currently participating in season 3 of “Les Traîtres” on M6 and has joined “Les Grosses têtes” on RTL since the start of the school year.
