‘I intend to be a loving and supportive parent’: Dave Grohl announces fatherhood of baby born out of wedlock

DIn an Instagram post published on Tuesday, the Foo Fighters singer announced the birth of a daughter out of wedlock. “I recently became a father to a baby girl, born out of wedlock. I intend to be a loving and supportive parent to her,” he wrote in his statement.

“I love my wife and children and am doing everything I can to regain their trust and obtain their forgiveness. We appreciate your concern for all the children involved as we move forward together.”

Dave Grohl is already the father of three daughters, Violet, Harper and Ophelia, with his wife Jordyn Blum, to whom he has been married since 2003. Following this shocking announcement, Violet and Harper have deactivated their Instagram accounts. Violet had become known after participating alongside her father in a Foo Fighters tour, and also appears on Show Me Howa song by the group released in 2023.

The identity of the mother and the girl’s first name remain unknown. Grohl said: “We are grateful for the consideration you have shown for all the children involved as we move forward together.”
