For several years, rugby player Thomas Ramos has shared his life with Sophie. The back of the XV of and ambassador of EndoFrance is involved at all levels to best help his wife, who suffers from endometriosis.

At 28, Thomas Ramos is one of the 33 selected for the Rugby World Cup which will be played in France from September 8 to October 28. With 26 selections to his credit, the sportsman is an essential rear of the XV of France and Stade Toulousain, with whom he raised three Brennus shields (2019, 2021, 2023). On the private side, Thomas Ramos is committed alongside his wife Sophie in the fight against endometriosis.

In February 2019, the EndoFrance association warmly welcomed the French rugby player into its ranks. For more than four years, the athlete has been keen to promote the association, chaired by Laëtitia Milot. An ambassadorial role that is all the more important since his wife is herself affected by this chronic illness.

In the pages of “20 Minutes” in 2019, Thomas Ramos returned to the difficult daily life of his wife. “Sophie lives with this disease. Sometimes it goes very well, sometimes it’s complicated. At 24, she has already undergone two operations. The international player also recalled how essential it is to stand alongside these women in their fight against endometriosis.

“I think it’s also important for men to be supportive. You are with your partner, your wife or your daughter, and you see her suffering. Sometimes in silence, because this illness causes women who are victims to withdraw into themselves. »
