For several years, the name of a certain Rose Hanbury has regularly come to the fore. The reason : she is suspected of being the mistress of the prince william. If such a decision was taken, it is because David Rocksavage had lost his office as Lord Grand Chamberlain at the time of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. He had recovered the position of chief court official since the death of his father, Hugh Cholmondeley, 6th Marquess of Cholmondeley, in 1990. As tradition dictates, Charles III therefore bestowed the office of Lord Grand Chamberlain on a new family. It was Rupert Carington, 73, who took advantage when the father of Princes William and Harry became king.
