Since mid-morning, the Haute-Garonne firefighters have been responding to pollution observed on the Garonne, in the town of Boussens. Alerted, they went to the heart of the village, located right on the edge of the river.

Specialists in chemical risk and depollution were present and took charge of this pollution which was “undetermined at the moment”, indicated the departmental fire and rescue service.

For the moment, no impact has been observed on the fauna and flora. An absorbent barrier was, however, put in place by specialist firefighters, assisted by a nautical rescue team.
