“I should have stopped earlier”: Cathy Gauthier “is taking a break” from the morning radio show “Le Boost!”

Cathy Gauthier must “take a break” from the morning show The Boost! that she co-hosted on Énergie 94.3 because of the “atypical” schedule that had become “too brutal”.

“The lack of sleep and the lack of time spent with my daughter has had a real harmful impact on my health, both physical and mental. […] I should have stopped sooner, but I continued, motivated by fear of the disapproving judgment of others and also because it is intoxicating and rewarding work,” announces the comedian in a statement relayed on her social networks.

The mother of young Alice, 6 years old, promises to come back “stronger than ever” at the end of this break, the duration of which remains undetermined. She will take advantage of this downtime to devote herself to her role as a mother.

“Not getting adequate sleep is one thing, but the mother in me suffered greatly from not being able to witness important moments with my child. Obviously, I couldn’t be there in the morning to accompany her to school and, in the evening, I was often anxious juggling my work and my role as a mother,” explains Cathy Gauthier to her subscribers.

The comedian has been absent from the Énergie morning show since Thursday morning, where she was replaced by Mario Tessier. Monday morning, Tommy Néron took over as co-host of the show The Boost!
