Spectators who attended one of the Enfoirés concerts, currently performing in Montpellier, noticed that the actress Mimie Mathy was in a wheelchair. After this Sunday’s show, she gave news of her health.
The Enfoirés troupe is performing concerts this week at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier. Around fifty of them come to give their voice voluntarily for the Restos du coeur, during seven different concerts. This year, the group welcomed new members like trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf or the Lebrun brothers, the table tennis players who represented France on the podium during the Paris 2024 Olympics. Many devotees were also present, such as the essential Patrick Bruelwho has never missed an appointment for 33 years, by Michaël Youn, always so excited, or by the irreplaceable Mimie Mathy.
Why is Mimie Mathy in a wheelchair at Enfoirés 2025?
Mimie Mathy, always faithful to the post, however arrived in smaller form this Sunday, January 19 on the Montpellier stage, during the midday performance at which Tele-Leisure was able to attend. The spectators present were able to notice that she was moving around in a wheelchair, with a small scooter-style handlebar, and that her comrades did not hesitate to taunt her about it.. “The stages are so big on Les Enfoirés that if we don’t want to do another hour of show, I shouldn’t walk.”laughs Mimie Mathy, questioned by journalists after the show. “I practiced a little before killing someone. Despite the circumstances of her appearance in Les Enfoirés this year, Mimie Mathy wants to be reassuring: “Appearance says I’m not in my best shape, I have weakness in my legs which has become a little worse between takes and in everyday lifeI try to relieve myself and take care of myself”slips the one who embodies Joséphine, Guardian Angel. Moreover, the sixty-year-old has no shortage of projects: “I have made three unpublished works by Joséphine, I am preparing one for the month of June, I am in the process of writing a new show. I read that I was paralyzed for lifethat I was dying, no!”protests the actress. She explains: “It’s due to my configuration, I have small technical problems so between important moments, I take it easy. But everything is fine!”. As a reminder, Mimie Mathy was unable to come to the Enfoirés show last year, so this year she will be there!
